The opportunity to pursue graduate studies in Counselling at Acadia University in 2009 coincided with the beginning of Elementary School Counselling programs in our area.  Although I had found teaching to be rewarding work, I knew that I was ready to support children and families in a different way - with their social and emotional needs.
